Falkner Pereira is a seasoned Human Resources (HR) leader whose career spans multiple continents and Danaher businesses. Originally from Brazil, Falkner has worked across the USA, Israel and the UK, bringing a global perspective to every role.

Today, he is the Senior Manager of HR Shared Services & Operations for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) at SCIEX, a Danaher life sciences business. In this role, he leverages technology and process optimization to drive strategic impact.

Hello, Falkner! Tell us a bit about yourself. 

“I started my career in HR more than a decade ago and have had the privilege of working across Brazil (where I’m originally from), the USA, Israel and the UK, where I’m currently based. I am multilingual and passionate about coffee and music. A fun fact about me: I enjoy naming my projects after classical music composers!

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and playing soccer with my son. Squash and volleyball are my favorite sports, but honestly, anything that keeps me active works for me.” 

Can you briefly describe your current role at SCIEX (a Danaher life sciences company)? 

“As the Senior Manager of HR Shared Services & Operations for EMEAI, my role serves as a dynamic bridge between strategic and operational HR initiatives in a global life sciences environment. I focus on delivering solutions that leverage technology and streamline processes to support the business as it evolves and faces new challenges.” 

What was your career path in global healthcare and life sciences leading up to this role? Which Danaher businesses have you worked at previously?

“I have spent most of my career operating across EMEAI in various HR roles – from analytics to, more recently, business partnering. Before joining SCIEX, I worked at IDBS and Molecular Devices (two other Danaher life sciences businesses), gaining experience that shaped my approach to HR strategy and operations.” 

What motivated you to pursue a cross‑company career move within Danaher?

“Curiosity! I find it fascinating being able to support different companies while still being part of one cohesive team within Danaher. It’s a unique opportunity to broaden my perspective and contribute to many different business models.” 

How did you identify the opportunity to move into a new role?

“After being approached by Talent Acquisition and the hiring manager, I applied internally. My tip: keep your internal Career Profile up to date so you are available for opportunities as they arise. It’s an important part of enabling internal mobility and career growth at Danaher.”

What programs, tools and resources helped facilitate your move across different Danaher businesses? 

“My certification in Change Management and passion for Danaher Business System (DBS), Danaher’s system facilitating continuous improvement and problem‑solving, were key enablers. These elements not only helped me transition smoothly but also enabled me to contribute effectively from day one.” 

What advice would you give to someone considering a similar transition within Danaher? 

“Seek opportunities that align with your career goals and interests. Danaher’s culture makes it easier to transfer skills across companies, so take advantage of that flexibility to grow and diversify your experience across life sciences, diagnostics, and healthcare technologies.”
