Helen Kuroczycki | IDBS

As she finished her PhD,  Helen Kuroczycki found her interest in science waning. Fortunately, she grew to love her role as the “de facto IT person” at her post-graduate lab. When she heard IDBS needed a software consultant, it was serendipity—the role combined her knowledge of science with her new passion for technology. Seventeen years later, Helen has held many titles, moving from testing to development to engineering. Through open conversations with her leader, Helen identified gaps in her skill set—commercial experience—which led her to current role in Client Success, where she builds off her experience in a new way. Helen loves to learn and grow, and at IDBS, she knows she’ll always be able to.

Jennifer Marasco | Cepheid

As SVP of Human Resources for Cepheid, Jennifer Marasco knows firsthand about career growth, including her own experience at multiple Danaher OpCos. “Career development is actually the best thing about my job as an HR leader—getting to sit down with people and talk about what they want to do and why,” she explains. Through active dialogue, associates talk through what they can gain from a move to another OpCo or how they can grow at their current company. For some people, it’s not the right time, and Marasco respects that, while still keeping them in mind for future positions. Her focus is on “what’s best for the associate rather than what’s best for the company.” This belief leads to incredible success stories, like Susan Murphy, who started as a field applications scientist and is now President of Molecular Devices.

At Danaher, fostering innovation and success means believing in our associates and nurturing their talent and passion. Wherever your career journey takes you, we’ll help you get there. If you’re ready to take the first step, check out our open roles and join our talent community today.
